Manual Tester - Banking Project
Location: ROX Tower, 54A Nguyen Chi Thanh, Dong Da District, Hanoi
1. RESPONSIBILITY
● Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to design test strategy, test plans, and detailed test cases.
● Execute manual functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across banking modules.
● Verify data integrity directly via SQL queries on the database.
● Perform API testing manually using Postman, validating response, status codes, and data contracts.
● Manage the full defect lifecycle: log, triage, verify, retest, and close bugs on Jira.
● Collaborate closely with Developers and BAs during defect triage and feature sign-off.
● Support UAT coordination with the client team to ensure quality before each release.
● Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
● Maintain and update test documentation including test plans, test reports, and traceability matrices.
● Proactively learn and improve testing skills in a fast-paced banking project environment.
● Maintain detailed and accurate testing documentation, including test results, defect logs, and status reports.
● Ensure compliance with documentation standards applicable to the banking industry.
2. REQUIREMENTS
● 6 months - 1 year of hands-on manual testing experience (internship background accepted).
● Solid understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect management processes.
● Proficient in designing structured test cases using techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
● Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools, particularly Jira or equivalent platforms.
● Basic SQL skills for data verification and database validation.
● Able to perform API testing manually using Postman (validate responses, status codes, and payloads).
● Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and sprint-based delivery workflows.
● Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
● Good communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
● Basic knowledge of banking/payment systems or financial workflows is a plus.
● Eager to learn and continuously improve in a professional banking project environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
● ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
● Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
● Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr.
