8seneca builds software for European clients - Slovakia, Czechia, the UK - from our engineering team in Vietnam. Projects span whatever the market brings: commerce, logistics, public sector, insurance, enterprise systems. We also build our own products.
We are not hiring someone who already knows one of these industries. We are hiring someone who can learn any of them fast. You will be handed a business you know nothing about and be expected to understand it well enough to specify software for it within weeks - then do it again with a different one. We train you, then rotate you.
Sit in client calls and turn 45 messy minutes into requirements engineers can build from.
Map how a business actually runs - where the money moves, who approves what, where it breaks.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria clear enough that nobody comes back to ask.
Own a backlog: prioritise, split, sequence, and kill things that shouldn't exist.
Test before the client does, so the client isn't the one finding the bug.
Take internal product ideas from concept toward launch - validation, scoping, go-live.
Ask "why are we building this?" in rooms where nobody else is asking.

Reasoning ability. You decompose vague problems into parts, notice when two requirements contradict, and catch the assumption everyone skipped. This matters more to us than your degree, GPA, or major.
Learning speed. Zero to conversational in an unfamiliar industry in two weeks - by asking good questions, not by reading everything.
Product sense. Structural opinions about software, not aesthetic ones. You hear a feature request and ask what problem it is really solving.
Business understanding. You grasp how organisations make money and make decisions - revenue, cost, margin, approval chains, why procurement takes four months.
English. Working-professional level, written and spoken. Calls with Slovak, Czech, and British counterparts, plus documents they read without you there to explain them. Written clarity matters most.

Exposure to SQL, APIs, Figma, Jira or Linear, or a working sense of how a web app fits together
Real work experience in any industry, including unglamorous ones - retail floor, family business, tutoring
A second European language.
4-6 months. Full-time or 30h/week.
